It is another busy week at SoP as we present 5 shows featuring 8 bands / artists (so far) across 3 venues, encompassing Americana, Folk-Pop, Gothic-Country, Acoustica, Alt-Rock and Blues-Roots. It is going to be another belter, basically.
We have so much cool music going on this week that I think I will launch straight into it, although it is worth a mention of our mini residency at The Beehive last week, which was superb. That pub is really a great home for anything more rootsy so hopefully there will be more there from us soon.
We bore witness to some fantastic and diverse music last week, ranging from the snarling punk of Ghost of the Avalanche to the smooth Americana vibes of Don Gallardo. All was brilliant. This week is no less jam packed with quality. We start as always at The Roaring Donkey, take in The Beehive and The Victoria and end up at The Locomotive.
What the devil do we have going on this week? Well, we have four rather spiffing shows for you starting, as always, with an unplugged style treat at the Roaring Donkey tomorrow. Read on.
OK, yes, kinda dropped a bollock or two this week. We are three gigs into the five we had on the slate. Yes FIVE! No wonder we are a bit late with this update. Oh well.
It is safe to say our return to Swindon’s Level III venue with a was something of a roaring success! To follow up that barnstormer we have four stonking shows for you this week, so once again we are already worrying about the state of our livers. But, we are pro’s, so we will stoically soldier on. Anyway, this is what we have lined up…
We are back to 3 shows this week, much more what has become a business as usual week after last week’s “fallow week” with three great shows across three great venues, including the triumphant and long awaited return of The Black Hats rhythm section!
It is a stupidly busy week for us this week with no less than 4 shows featuring 15 acts over 5 days. Phew.
This week we have a trio of cracking shows coming your way featuring Phil Cooper, Jamie R Hawkins, SN DubStation, The Hat Club and Stone Cold Fiction.
