with all the best intentions in the world, and after a few issues with support from venues and a general exasperation at the apathy of audiences to what we are trying to do, we said we were having a break, doing less, maybe even dare I say it, quitting? And we did, for about 3 weeks over Christmas. But we are back….
Bare Knuckle Parade celebrate the release of new single “Come Alive” in November with a UK tour that brings them through Swindon with a show for SoP at Level III in Swindon on Friday November 18th.
Cutting it fine this week, but hey, that is how I roll at the moment – with The Swindon Shuffle kicking off next week (eeek!) it is a rather busy time.Last week was a fairly important one in the development of Songs of Praise, with our Thursday show at Baila turning out to be something of a pinnacle moment for us, that kind of whole NYC Greenwich Village vibe we had been looking for. Hopefully this will be the first of many of this ilk. Anyway, what do we have for the listening public to get their ears round this week?
It is a much quieter week than normal this week, although, of course, the big show this week is our 10th anniversary show, so a bit of a mega milestone for us.
Yes it is true, Songs of Praise turns 10 this summer. And we are having a party!
It’s been a while but Songs of Praise is back at Level 3 (or Level III as the owner wants us to call it) and just to test the water and flex our promotional muscles we have lined up a night of some of the most sought after local bands around.
