We are super pleased to have been able to secure a festival warm up show from ace Americana act Danny & The Champions of the World at The Victoria in Swindon on 6th July.
Thursday 7th December the Trollbadour himself, Grant Sharkey, returns to The Tuppenny…
For our last show of 2017 in Bristol at The Golden Lion we are bringing a couple of upbeat, fun folk bands with us from across the South West.
On November 9th at The Tuppenny we are back to our more compact and bijou set up with two fantastic solo performers. On Thursday 12th October our live music session at The Tuppenny features the return of Oli Norman, who last featured on this stage at the 2017 Shuffle in an excellent but technically cursed set (who seriously breaks 2 strings on their first number? We blame the fact he had shaved his beard off…).
Octobers early jaunt to Bristol on Sunday 8th for our residency at The Golden Lion finds superb Oxford Americana act The Great Western Tears as headline act, with a fine supporting turn promised by those cheeky chaps The Shudders.
Fassine wander dream-pop landscapes, ambient minimalism and futuristic dance spaces, sonorous chilled alt-pop, ultra cool indie vibes and even neo-classical grandeur. They link the legacy of labels such as 4AD with one possible future for dance music and they will be at Level III on 26th October.
The brilliant Oxford duo The August List have long been favorites of ours and we have managed to bag them for two shows this month – Sunday 4th June at The Golden Lion in Bristol (show starts at 4pm) and again on Thursday 22nd June at The Tuppenny in Swindon from 8.30pm. Both are free entry too!
