The return of seminal 60’s / 70’s Psychedelic Blues band Groundhogs is imminent!

groundhogs-oct-18-level-iii-webWe are stoked to have the opportunity to bring a fantastic new version of the classic Psychedelic Blues outfit The Groundhogs to Level III in Swindon on October 7th

Way back in the halcyon days of rock power trio The Groundhogs rode the blues boom into uncharted territory, gaining a reputation as one of the most dynamic live acts around and remaining an influential and inspirational band to this day. The classic line up of Tony McPhee, Ken Pustelnik and Pete Cruikshank toured the world for 6 years straight, including seminal shows with greats like The Rolling Stones, John Lee Hooker, John Mayall and Canned Heat and at the legendary 1970 Isle Of Wight Festival. In this time they produced 4 renowned albums: “Blues Obituary”, “Thank Christ For The Bomb”, “Split” and “Who Will Save The World”.

Now Ken brings you a new and exciting line-up of Groundhogs, playing the classic material with verve and power and giving performances of energy and excitement that are as fresh and relevant to the modern audience as the original were back in the day.

In support we are pleased to be able to present The Harlers, an Alternative Rock duo from Swindon. Formed at the beginning 2015, Chris Pritchard (Guitar/Vocals) & Jamie Warren (Drums) together combine growling Blues Rock guitar melodies, strongly influenced by the likes of The Black Keys, Gary Clark Jr and Rival Sons, with foot-stomping drum grooves and powerful, soulful vocals, to create a modern Garage Rock sound.

The final support act is yet to be confirmed.

Special Earlybird tickets at £6.00 are available online via seetickets.com in limited numbers. When these are gone advance tickets are £7.50 via seetickets.com  online or in person at The Rolleston Arms. On the door entry will be £10.00.
