We are very happy to confirm we have secured a very tidy looking Indie-Pop show with an international flavour. The catalyst for this show was taking a date on the latest UK tour by French-Canadian band Maybelleen (pictured). Around them we have built a show with two of the hottest up and coming indie bands in Swindon – Misfires and Break Glass To Open.

Misfires  are a Swindon quartet who are already well versed at making a noise, bot hon and off the stage. They are hard to miss really, and play a brand of Indie that is heavy on psychedelic vibes. Described as “the next big indie band” – Vibe Youth Radio,  “Re-inventors of modern day Indie music” – Mixtape Press and “the love child of Little Comets 1975 and Arctic Monkeys” – Everything Alyce

Openers Break Glass To Open made a real splash when they played for us recently at Level 3. They are four lads from Swindon and Marlborough with a thing for anthemic indie and punk bands. They come hotly tipped by The Academy Of Music & Sound.

Providing the filling in between these two slices of Swindon Indie bread are Maybelleen, a band hailing from Montreal, Canada. Comprising of Peter and Charles Camiré, a young brother duo, the band were raised surrounded by the music of their dad, a pop rock and psychedelic musician, now producer. Built around electronic beats and samples, their unique and contemporary sound is recognizable with intense melodic grooves and great vocal harmony.

All of this will be taking place on Thursday 16th June at The Victoria in Swindon. Entry will be £3.00 with music kicking off around 8,30pm. Full details to be found on the event page here.
